Impact
Real change comes from
intentional action.
In BPP, members will research and teach high school students about the following these concerns plaguing most business leaders today. BPP members aim to equip young students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of the modern business world and encourage them to seek leadership roles where they can bring strong social impacts through the following areas.

ESG Performance
ESG Performance refers to how a company or organization manages its operations in relation to Environmental, Social, and Governance criteria. Environmental performance evaluates a company's ecological footprint, including carbon emissions and waste management; social performance examines relationships with stakeholders, focusing on diversity, community engagement, and ethical practices; and governance addresses leadership, transparency, and accountability. To encourage positive ESG performance, students can adopt practices such as implementing recycling programs, advocating for diversity and inclusion, and supporting ethical labor practices. They can also emphasize the importance of transparency and stakeholder engagement, track ESG metrics, and promote awareness within their communities. By understanding and applying these principles, students can become responsible leaders who prioritize social good and environmental stewardship.

Mitigating Risk
The finance industry is increasingly adopting technology for all transactions, leveraging innovations such as blockchain, mobile banking, and AI-driven analytics to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience. However, this shift brings significant data risks and potential for fraud, as cybercriminals target sensitive financial information and exploit vulnerabilities in digital systems. To address these challenges, we will teach students about the importance of robust cybersecurity measures, data encryption, and multi-factor authentication. Additionally, we will emphasize responsible and ethical technology use by exploring best practices for data privacy, compliance with regulations like GDPR, and the significance of transparency in financial transactions. By instilling these principles, students will be equipped to navigate the evolving landscape of finance while safeguarding against potential risks.

Distressed Communities
Economic development is often uneven, with financial resources not flowing equally into all communities. This disparity highlights the importance of encouraging young people to explore innovative ways businesses can fund projects aimed at uplifting distressed areas. By fostering awareness of social entrepreneurship, impact investing, and corporate social responsibility initiatives, students can learn how businesses can directly contribute to improving living standards in marginalized communities. Emphasizing projects that create job opportunities, enhance access to education, and provide essential services can empower these communities to overcome their challenges. By actively engaging in these discussions, young individuals can become catalysts for change, advocating for equitable resource distribution and creating a more inclusive economy that benefits everyone, regardless of their circumstances.
